Dentist appointment and stuff

Tomorrow, I will be doing something I haven't done for decades and is purposefully avoiding … that is my dentist appointment. I would not be doing this had not the tingling sensation I often experience lately whenever I brush my teeth or indulge with sweets. Seems like I’m due for a thorough cleaning and a lot of drilling not to mention spending an hour or so having my oral cavity explored by my lifelong crush. Ironic, neh?

I have been trying to organize my activities too lately and thank goodness starting to see some progress. Recently took up jumping rope for additional physical activities since I can’t seem to get the hang of pilates. Hopefully, I will be able to stick with it until I see changes. Christmas is around the corner and I can’t see the weighing scale’s hand pointing to somewhere nice. I also managed to finish season 1 and 2 of Charmed (finally) and will probably run a season or two of One Piece before proceeding to the next season. Yup, someone’s trying to keep busy and definitely trying to avoid something. ^_^

I am trying my best not to take a peek with the ongoing Hana Kimi live version for months now and diverted my attention to the mange which is thankfully, completed already. The story is nice, cute, and kilig although not as great as Akuma de Sourou or Hot Gimmick but then I barely started Volume 4... ^_^ (<I realized lately I like making this smiley faces way back college days. Too bad, can't put wings and halo on it.)

It was a late birthday celebration but one of the best I’ve ever had. The three-months worth of craving to sing was finally satisfied with our four hours stay at Red Box. Prior to that, we took a quick lunch at Avenetto because of the 3 p.m reservations. I for one was really excited with this bonding session having caught a glimpse of the new videoke house during my last visit to Trinoma. The room has this anime-ish feel minus the goukon (blind-date) gang that usually comes with the scene. Since the place recently opened, everything feels clean and well… untouched, (hehe). The recent videoke house we frequented got worn-out seats and run-down carpeted flooring so this one offers a much refreshing choice. I promised myself for a follow-up visit soon. Love the place and can’t wait for updates on their song selection soon. Pictures to follow. ^_^

It’s a small world after all!!!

I recently finished watching Hana Yori Dango season 2 and the guy playing Nishikado Soujiro reminds me of Gohatto (Taboo), a samurai film that I’ve seen last December. Matsuda Shota (Soujiro) resembles Kano Sozaburo, the young and very much “confused” samurai playing the lead role. Then, a few clicks here and there showed me the connection, Matsuda Shota is the younger brother of Matsuda Ryuhei (Kano Sozaburo).

Ryuhei is around 24 while Shota is 21. (Insert evil laugh> ...and I’m 24, isn’t that nice ^_^)

On a sad note, Thea, a friend of mine who recently went back from Japan, told me that Japanese guys weren’t as handsome as what the boob tube portrays them but Japanese girls, on the other hand, are undeniably pretty. As if I care about that.

All-nighter

I was able to access my LJ from work tonight, yatta!!!

Work is from 10 pm to 6 am today (err tonight) which is somewhat relaxing since I get to escape from the intense 2 p.m. shift heat and may buy some time to regain my normal skin tone. I was able to catch 5 + 3 hour sleep this morning and hopefully this will able to keep me on my toes all night.

And the boss is currently roaming around so I better head back to my work station.
I'll see if I can sneak another entry later.

Haaay, umalis na naman pamangkin ko at uber tahimik ng bahay. I don't feel like tidying up my room kahit balik work na sa January 3. Birthday din ni Kuya tomorrow, pero sa Taguig na siya mag-celebrate with his inlaws bago sila bumalik sa Singapore on January 3 din. He also told us na baka after five years pa siya makabalik with his family kasi move na siya U.S. on January 17.(T_T)

The little princess has been with us for almost a week already. It was a bit tricky balancing work and looking after her during my turn but it was worth it. Cute Lian turned three this year and has an awful lot of tactics in her sleeves. She's fluent already and can also twist her Lola around her chubby little fingers. I'm so happy she's starting to inherit the "Bacay" features already.

Last Saturday, I went home with a 21 inch television. This Saturday, a wedding bouquet.

Ate Charmaine, now Mrs. Kauffman, tied the knot with Kuya Karl this morning at Sacred Heart Parish. Due to my work load, Laine and I were only able to catch up with them in the reception part. Prior to the wedding, Nikki told us to wear skirts. Being familiar with her agenda, I decided to go in slacks instead knowing that it well help lessen your chance of getting stuck with the bouquest and I was WRONG!!!

The song ended even before I have the chance of passing the boquet to Laine. What's with that!!!

Oh and I'm currently suffering from a slight sore throat. Having read Vida's entry about Lion Bar, made me decide to ask my cousin and tita from Saudi to send me some for Christmas. The package arrived yesterday containing plain and peanut butter Lion Bars and a box of Amicelli hazel.

P.S. Karen's oniisan is uber kawaiii.

Goong Palace

Finally finished Goong Palace. Although, it took me a week to finish all 24 episodes. Once again, I cried bucket of tears in almost every episode (Crying is really good for the eyes, it lubricates and it cleanses hehehehehe) and Shiben is sooooooo kawaii wish I could comfort him (lolz) This is manhwa based too (oooh, I found out that this is Korea's version of the Japanese manga). I also love the cast. Everyone's so cute and loveable, couldn't wait to get a copy of the second season.

The downside, the subtitle in the the last two episode sucks. There are good parts that does not even have translation. I could only catch a familiar word or two in their dialogue and it's a bit frustrating.

P.S. Ate Charmaine's wedding (my bestfriend's older sister and a Quistis look alike) is getting married this Saturday. My schedule is still in shambles and I haven't bought her a gift yet.

We had our corporate christmas party yesterday at Forest Grill, Timog. I came anticipating the "I'm a noobie here so stick with noobie table" feeling but somehow the night took an interesting twist.

The evening started with our boss welcoming the newly hired batch and Arianne (a schoolmate from St. James, Q.C.) was among them. Then came the production number. Our month-long practice for "Bulaklak" was finally unveiled (Though, I did messed up with the last part hehe) Strutting the flower-covered costume all night is definitely not my idea of spending a christmas party, but having your team members beside you, doning the same attire helps. Oh, and my so-called dull evening was brightened by another discovery. Karen's cute brother, Ramel is a great dancer. Waaa BISHOUNEN RED ALERT!!! He is too cute for his own good and I hate it >_<

Where's the twist? A 21 inch flat screen TV, first prize. As usual, I misplaced my coupon but somehow got a blurred recall of the ticket number. I have no idea if the winner has to go onstage so I ended up going in front and asking the emcee if its really my coupon. Sadly, people mistook my action for not being appreciative of the prize but I did found the ticket when I returned to my seat. Yup, its definitely 0031. Banzaii!!! I was more worried about the ticket that I did not realize the next problem. 21 inch TV do not exactly fit in a cab's trunk nor on the back seat and surprisingly it was Ate Grace who fretted about how am I supposed to take the prize home. (I honestly thought that the box was just a display and that the prizes are to be claimed in the office). Russel overheard our conversation and he voluntered to drop me home considering that he still has 2 hours travel time to upper Antipolo (this one sounds soooo familiar)

Case closed ^_^ (hehehe)

Work Matters...
I'm in for a four-day break this week starting Friday. U.S. clients will be celebrating Thanksgiving on Friday so clinics won't be accepting consultation until Tuesday next week, yatta!!! I'll be able to rest my ears for a couple of days.

A four-day break could also mean "manga-thon" (coined by me, lolz) Can't wait to start the first volume of First Love ^_^

As far as the first half of the movie goes, "Prince of Tennis Live Action" is mada mada dane.

Morning transcriptions did not go on smoothly. I've been brooding over the editor's claim that I was not able to complete the patient's info sheet which I ironically checked twice before uploading. My uploading tool is either malfunctioning or I am suffering from memory lapses since yesterday. It is so hard to accept errors when you can remember doing the task correctly. I remember using the tabs to access the Date of Birth screen. Kyaaaaaaa!!!
I need a replay of the eight bishies from Prince of Tennis rendering a song for Tezuka. (Right Kabaji?)

New animes

I have never been good with names so please bear with me people. ^_^

Last week has been a little stressful so I once again indulged in my stress relieving activities. Thanks to kuya Angel and Laine who dropped by our office last Tuesday, I get to go over the pilot episode of La Cordia de Oro. Yup "go over", I have gotten used to watching animes per season so I decided to spare the excitement. La Cordia De Oro is another bishounen laden anime about musically inclined students of some so and so university. Picture guys from Weiss or from Fushigi carrying musical instruments. Not the typical guitars and drums thingie though. I saw one playing the cello and another one plays the violin. Doki, doki.
Another thanks to Russel, an officemate of mine who thankfully got the same addiction to anime. We started swapping animes and live version last month. He got me a copy of Haruka (actually, I got him hooked to it)

One week, five not-so-good news.

News One: Our boss acquired a new contract with a colon and rectal clinic from Alabama. Even I was anticipating their files but due to the shortage of transcriptionists in the office, we have to work six days a week to meet the daily workload and settle the backlogs of the new client. So there goes my week…

News Two: I have a bad case of sore throat, been noticing symptoms of incoming cold since Monday. My sugar dose was reduced to a medium bar of Snickers on Thursday. Friday evening and the already inflamed throat got my voice hoarse. Talking is definitely out of the question tomorrow, unless sleep takes the pain away.

New Three: I hate exchange gifts and whoever drawed my name fro Sir Ariel’s magic box… >_<

News Four: Why “Bulaklak” of all songs and why do we have to render a dance number for Christmas? Yes, Christmas parties are supposed to crazy and fun but “Bulaklak!”

News Five: Carelessness, grrr and slash P-I-F-F. It is causing me my hard-earned points this week. I really need to check my transcribed files twice than normal. One slip on the patient’s information and my 3-hour transcribed files goes nada.

Off to bed and hope that I get my voice back tomorrow. MTC Teddy Bear will be coming to the office (hehe.)

I was wrong!!!

And I need to have a copy of it soon. Good thing I was able to finish Vampire Princess Miyu, that leaves me with the untouched 2nd season of House, M.D. and another open slot in my anime schedule.
